Tetanus Infection Fatal To Indiana Man

New Haven, Ind. — A tetanus infection resulting from several small cuts on the hand inflicted by a lawn mower claimed the life of Sam Fisher, 58, former owner of the Grabill, Ind. Frozen Food Locker.

A sufferer from sugar diabetes, Mr. Fisher had not had any anti-tetanus shots. A special serum flown from Chicago in an effort to save his life failed to have any effect. He died May 11 in the Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

A number of relatives and friends from Lancaster, Pa., his former home, attended the funeral services, held May 14 at the Cuba Mennonite church near here. He had lived in this community for 33 years.

Survivors include his wife, the former Emma Graber, four daughters, one son, 10 grandchildren and five sisters.
