LITTLE KATHY FISCUS LAID TO REST

Seldom has the world expressed so much sorrow as over the death of three year old Kathy Fiscus, of San Marino, Calif. The little girl lost her life when she fell into a 100-ft. abandoned well near her home on Friday, April 8.

For about two hours her scrams and pleadings for help came up from her dark tomb. After that she couldn’t be heard anymore, and doctors believe that it was about then that she died. After 52 hours of digging with drills and cranes, workmen were able to bring up her lifeless body.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday of last week, conducted by Rev. Crist of the San Marino Congregational church. Even then, messages and letters at the rate of 100 an hour were still arriving in the Los Angeles postoffice for the workmen who lost the race with death in their attempt to rescue Kathy out of the well.
