Her parents loved the Word of God, and through morning and evening devotions the Holy Spirit began to speak to her until she accepted the Lord at the age of nine. She was baptized in 1905 and received into membership at the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church. The family moved again to a farm four miles outside of Herbert, Sask., in order to be near the church and school.

She married Peter B. Fast on November26,1911, and the couple homesteaded on a farm seven miles from: Dalmeny, Sask., where they experienced the blessing of God. Ten children were born, and all were saved at an early age.

She and her husband moved into the town of Dalmeny in 1947, and when their health began to fail, they took up residence in the Central Haven Senior Citizen's Home, before moving into the Personal Care Home.
