MRS. LENA WALL FAST

Mrs. Lena Wall Fast was born to J. C. and Anna Quiring Wall in Henderson, Neb. on Oct 7, 1894. During special revival services conducted by Rev. George Thiessen in Litchfield, neb. in the spring of 1915 she realized her lost condition and accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. She was baptized and became a member of the E. M. B. church in Henderson on Aug. 15, 1915.

On Nov. 25, 1915 she was married to Jacob K. Fast at Litchfield, Neb. In 1919 they moved to the Lustre, Mont. area where they farmed.

In the fall of 1946 they located in Dallas, Oregon, where they attended the E.M.B. Church, and to which they later transferred their membership. Her cheerful and loving spirit and hospitality were a blessing to all who knew her.

About six years ago her health began to fail due to a heart ailment. She suffered a stroke on Nov. 13, 1962 and seemed to recover favorably until a second stroke on Dec. 2. She departed to be with the Lord the next day, Dec. 3, at the age of 68 years. She was a faithful wife and mother with a deep trust in the Lord.

Mourning her departure are her husband, Jacob K. Fast; one son, Rev. Elvin A. Fast of St. Helena, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Fast of Frazer, Mont. and Mrs. Emma Unger of Dallas, Oregon; one brother, A. Jerome Wall of Laurel, Mont.; 12 grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held in the E.M.B. church in Dallas, Oregon on Dec. 6, 1962, with Dr. Fosmark and Rev. Allan Wiebe officiating.
