— A large funeral was held Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Grace Hill Mennonite church east of Elbing, Kansas, for John G. Ewert, 71, who was fatally injured in an elevator accident at Elbing. His body was badly lacerated when he was caught by a large belt while the elevator was in operation. He passed away shortly afterwards at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital. Several children survive.
