JOHN ESH

John Esh, son of John and Mary (Yoder) Esh, was born near Belleville, Pa. on Sept. 26, 1885; passed away at his home near Turner, Mich. on Feb. 17, 1958, of a heart attack, aged 72 years, four months and 22 days.

He accepted Christ as his Saviour in his youth and was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church until death. On April 24, 1932, he was married to Lena Gingerich. His parents, five brothers, one sister, and Lena, his wife, preceded him in death. On Dec. 4, 1955, he was married to Kathryn Handrich.

He leaves to mourn his departure Kathryn, his wife, and one sister, Lydia Hempke of Freelandsville, Ind., and a host of relatives and friends. John was a kind and loving husband and sympathetic to all.

Funeral services were held at the Riverside Conservative Mennonite Church near Turner, Mich. the forenoon of Feb. 20 in charge of Noah Swartzentruber, and at the Fairview Mennonite Church in the afternoon in charge of Elmer Jantzi. Burial was made in the Fairview Cemetery.
