Bird-in-Hand, Pa.. — Jacob Esch, who was a watch maker for about 60 years before his retirement, died Aug. 22 at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Pre. and Mrs. Amos Lapp. A native of Juniata county, he reached the age of 90.
The large family of survivors includes two sons, two daughters, 37 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren. Surviving brothers and sisters are Menno Esch of Mio, Mich., Samuel Esch of Elverson, Mrs. Lizzie Smucker of West Liberty, O., and Mrs. Fannie Miller of Kelliher, Minn.
