SARAH ESAU

(Mrs.) Sarah Esau, 89, of Linden, Alberta, passed away at the Linden Nursing Home on January 10. Death was due to illness and old age. Mrs. Esau was born in Waldheim, South Russia, on December 7, 1878. She accepted Christ in her youth and eventually joined the Mennonite Brethren Church. On October 10, 1901, she was united in marriage to Dietrich K. Esau. Together with her husband and family, she moved too America in 1910 and to Canada in 1928.

She was predeceased by her husband 16 years ago. Five children also predeceased her. She is survived by 5 daughters: Mrs. Jake I. (Susie) Loewen and Mrs. Ernest (Mary) Loewen, both of Linden; Mrs. Henry (Clara) Toews and Agatha of Drayton Valley, Alberta; and Betty of Seattle, Wash.; and four sons: John and family of Carbon, Alberta, Jake and family of Mt. Lehman, B.C., Dick and family of Swallwell, Alberta, and Henry and family of Calgary.

The funeral was in the Linden Mennonite Brethren Church, January 14, with Rev. Rudy Boschman officiating.
