— One of the largest funerals held in years at the Pennsylvania Mennonite church northwest of Newton was that of Mrs. Tillman M. Erb on Sunday, June 5. Mrs. Erb, who was widely known as one of the older settlers of the Hesston community, died suddenly and unexpectedly while on a visit with her sister and brother-in-law near Ephrata, Pa. Rev. Amos Gingerich, Rev. Buckwalter, and Rev. J. G. Hertzler were the officiating ministers at the funeral.
