MRS. FANNIE ERB

Mrs. Fannie Erb, 67, of Albany, Oregon departed this life to be with Christ her Saviour on August 22, 1955, at 7:25 p. m. at the Salem Memorial Hospital. Her death came quite suddenly as a result of complications of a heart condition of a few years.

Funeral services were held at the Grace Mennonite church of Albany August 25 with Rev. Herbert R. King officiating. Burial was at the Riverside cemetery. The Fisher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 13, 1888, at Poole, Ontario, a daughter of John and Fannie Ropp.

At the age of 15 she received Jesus as her Saviour and was baptized on Nov. 10, 1903.

In 1908 she moved near Albany, Oregon. On August 25, 1921 she was married to Jake D. Erb at Albany where they resided until the time of their deaths. Her husband preceded her in death on June 14, 1952, and a son, Victor, nine years ago. A sister, Mattie Yutzie, passed away in 1946.

She joined the Grace Mennonite Church of Albany as a charter member in June of 1931 and remained a faithful church attender and intercessor.

Those surviving include a daughter, Mrs. Gary Warkentine of Albany; a sister, Mrs. Joe Stauffer of Albany; three brothers, John Ropp of Arizona, and Joe and Dan Ropp of Albany; 22 nieces and nephews and three grandchildren. She had a large host of other relatives and friends.
