MRS.SUSANNA K. EPP

(Mrs.) Susanna Epp was born on March 3, 1893 in Kleefeld, south Russia, to Klass Johann and Elizabeth (nee Loewen) Dyck. Her early youth was spent in Kleefeld, and at an early age she accepted Jesus as her personal Saviour, was baptized and received into membership at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Ruecknau, Russia in 1914. She emigrated to Canada in 1924 along with her sister Tina and brother-in-law Frank Wiens. They lived in Kitchener, Ont. briefly before moving to Whitewater, Man.

She married Cornelius Epp on April 20, 1944, and they moved to Leamington, Ont. They moved into the Leamington Mennonite Home in 1965, when their health began to fail. In May, 1967, her husband passed away. After a time alone, she married Johann Epp on July 26, 1969. The Epps lived in an apartment near the Home (or five years, and when her husband's health began to fail, they moved into the Home. He died in April, 1976.

Mrs. Epp lived an active, happy life, and gained many friends. She found much joy in being able to sew something which she could then give to someone. She had a heart attack on June 11, and passed into the presence of the Lord. She is survived by her youngest brother, George Dyck, of Virgil, Ont.; step sons Jacob Halzrichter and Henry Epp; and a son-in-law, Nick Unger.
