text of obituary:

PETER F. EPP

Peter F. Epp, our husband and father, son of Rev. Johann P. and Cornelia Franz Epp, was born Dec. 25,1879, near Henderson, Neb. Here he grew to manhood and engaged in farming throughout his life.

He was baptized upon his confession of faith on June 1, 1903, by Elder Peter J. Friesen, and united with the Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson, where he remained a faithful member to the end.

He was united in marriage with Sarah Bergen on Oct. 1, 1903. To this union were born five children: Isaac P.; Martha, Mrs. Abraham J. Thieszen; Gustav P.; Sarah, Mrs. Jacob T. Rempel; and Peter B. Father and mother retired from the farm in the village of Henderson for the past 15 years.

Our father was kind and generous. He always had time for others and especially for his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a man of prayer and was greatly concerned that all his grandchildren might know the Lord Jesus as their own personal Savior. He was always interested in church and community affairs, and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Almost five years ago his health began to fail due to a heart ailment. He was hospitalized on Nov. 18, 1955. He remained in the hospital until the end, a period of almost seven months. He bore his cross very patiently and quietly. When asked how he felt, it was always very much the same answer, "I have nothing to complain about, I'm well taken care of." He passed away at 3:35 p. m., June 13, 1956, at the age of 76 years, five months and 19 days.

He leaves to mourn his departure: his wife, five children, two sons-in-law, Abraham J. Thieszen and Jacob T. Rempel; three daughters-in-law, Rose, Mrs. Isaac P. Epp, Lizzie,Mrs. Gustav P. Epp, and Esther, Mrs. Peter B. Epp; 15 grandchildren and two foster grandchildren (two grandchildren preceded him in death); four great-grandchildren; two brothers, George F. Epp of Henderson, and Henry F. Epp, Mt. lake, Minn. (two brothers, Jacob F. Epp and Rev. John F. Epp, preceded him in death); one sister, Marie, Mrs. John W.
