Youth Farm Manager At Rosthern Fatally Hurt in Tractor Upset

Rosthern, Sask. — Henry A. Epp, 58, farm manager at the Mennonite Youth Farm here for the past two years, was fatally injured Aug. 10 when the tractor he was using to pack silage reared backward and fell on him. He died about five and a half hours later in a Saskatoon hospital.

Mr. Epp was a well-known retired farmer who served as chairman of the board of deacons at the Eigenheim Mennonite Church, board member of the Mennonite Home for Aged, former board of the Eigenheim School, and for more than 10 years as secretary of the Rosthern Agricultural Society.

Survivors include his widow, Adella; a daughter Mrs. Jim Ewert of Drake; one son, Lorne, on the home farm at Eigenheim; and a daughter Ruth at home. His funeral was conducted Aug. 14 at the Eigenheim Church.
