HENRY EPP

Henry Epp was born in Rueckenau, Russia, in 1881, to Abram and Margaretha Epp. He enjoyed a happy childhood and youth in the home of his Christian parents. When he was 22 he accepted Christ as saviour and became a sincere follower of Christ in his everyday life.

He was married in 1914, and the family continued to live in Rueckenau until 1924, when they emigrated to Dalmeny, where they farmed until 1936, moving then to Yarrow, B.C. and joined the church there. Here they lived for the rest of their married life, spending 58 blessed and happy years together.

The marriage was blessed with six children, 3 sons and 3 daughters. Mary, the youngest, died as a child, and Frieda in her 41st year.

Mr. Epp's strength began to fail in his 88th year, and he spent the last two years of his life in the Menno hospital in Clearbrook. He went home to glory on May 30, reaching the age of 91 years.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons: Henry, Jacob and Al, one daughter, Margaret, and their families, as well as Al Huebert, son-in-law; 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many friends and relatives.
