MRS. PETER E. EPP

“Yet [sic], though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou are with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.”

We know that the Lord Jesus went before as He called home Mrs. Peter E. Epp (nee Helena Wiens) on Sept. 18, 1961, after a week of illness at the Henderson, Neb. Community Hospital. She was born at Inman, Kansas on Dec. 17, 1883 and reached the age of 77 years and nine months.

She was married to Peter E. Epp on Dec. 14, 1910. Until the fall of 1916 they resided at Henderson, then moved to Lustre, Mont. She and her husband were both active in church work. All their life they practiced what we find in Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers;” “Use hospitality one to another.” I Peter 4:9.

Since January she had resided at the Nursing Home in Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Marie; a sister, the former Mrs. A. C. Wall; a half-sister, the former Mrs. Dan Ediger; and one brother, Henry C. Wiens.

She leaves to mourn two half-sisters, Mrs. H. W. Ediger of Dallas, Oregon and Mrs. P. E. Kroeker of Inman, Kansas; two half-brothers, A. T. Wiens of Meade, Kansas and J. T. Wiens of Salem, Oregon, and a host of relatives and friends.
