Mrs. H. B. Entz

Sister Anna Entz was born May 8, 1879, at Whitewater, Kansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harder Sr. At the age of nine years she was deprived of her mother, but God provided for a second mother when her father remarried. She was received into church membership by the rite of Holy Baptism in the year 1895. On the 2nd day of December, 1897, she was united in marriage with her now bereaved husband, H. B. Entz. This union God granted 32 years of devoted happiness, and blessed it with ten children. A day of thanksgiving was the silver anniversary in 1923.

For the last three years her health was failing. The aid of physicians gave temporary relief. When, however, last November an operation was deemed advisable it was found to be a cancer of the liver. This meant that the days of her life were numbered. For three more months she was privileged to be with her loved ones, which proved to be a blessed period in the home.

Wednesday morning, April 2, at 10:50 she departed to be with her Savior in whom she firmly believed. She lived 50 years, 10 months and 25 days. There remain to mourn her early departure, her husband, ten children, two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, and many friends and relatives.

Funeral services were conducted at the home and at Emmaus Church beginning at two o'clock Saturday, and interment was made in the Emmaus cemetery. — Whitewater Independent.
