RUDOLF H. ENSZ

Rudolf H. Ensz was born on March 16, 1896 to Henry Ensz and Maria Jantzen Ensz near Hillsboro, Kan. In 1913 he moved to Dubois, Idaho where he bought a farm. Here he lived with his sister Lena for a number of years.

On Dec. 17, 1916 he was baptized upon confession of faith in Christ as his Saviour by Rev. Leonard Dirks.

In 1919 he moved to the Fairview district near American Falls, Idaho and made his home with the John H. Friesen family until 1936. During this period he worked for various neighbors in the immediate vicinity. He rented a farm in the spring of 1936 and began farming on his own and continued to do this for ten years. In 1946 he bought the farm he resided on for the remainder of his years.

Rudolf H. Ensz was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Aberdeen, Idaho. He was consistent in his faith and displayed a deep devotion to his church. He had a deep interest in missions, relief work, and in Bible distribution.

On Oct. 22 while attending the morning worship service of the church he quietly passed to his eternal home. It was the Lord's pleasure to take him when loved ones were near.

He leaves to mourn, one brother, John H.. Ensz, Reedley, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. P. W. Penner of Newton, Kan., (since then also passed away), Mrs. David H. Friesen of Reedley, Calif., Mrs. John H. Friesen and Mrs. David J. Schmidt, both of Aberdeen, his neighbors and many friends.
