— John A. Ensz, well known in Newton as the owner of the O. K. Grocery on 315 High street, died last Thursday after having been seriously ill for more than two months. Born in Germany, he came to this country with his parents in his youth and first became a member of the Mennonite church at Halstead. After having resided in several different communities he later entered business in Newton, which remained his home until his death. Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite church Saturday afternoon, Rev. J. E. Entz and Rev. H. T. Unruh of Halstead officiating. He reached the age of 69 years. Among the many relatives and friends who survive are his sorrowing wife, Mrs. Helen Ensz, a daughter, Mrs. Skiff of St. Louis; and two sons, Henry H. and Walter J. of Newton.
