ANDREW F. ENSZ

Andrew F. Ensz was born August 29, 1900, at Parker, South Dakota. His parents, Isaac Ensz and Eva Vogt Ensz brought him to Washington when they moved here in 1901. He received his education in the Lind public schools.

On May 23, 1920, he was baptized upon the profession of his faith in Jesus Christ and united with the Salem Mennonite church at Ruff, Washington. On November 15, 1936, he transferred his membership to the Menno Mennonite church near Lind where he remained a faithful member until his death. May Nightengale of this community, who later became his bride, was also a member of this same Catechetical class under Rev. M. J. Galle.

Andy and May were united in marriage August 26, 1934. They made their home in Spokane, Washington; during the last sixteen years where Andy was service salesman at the Buchanan Chevrolet garage.

Andy enjoyed reasonably good health all his life. On Thursday, November 8, he did not feel well and remained home from work. Death came very unexpectedly the evening of the same day (by heart attack). His cheerful disposition brought Andy the joy of having many close friends.

Survivors include his wife, May; his mother, Mrs. Eva Ensz: a sister, Mrs. Wilfred (Eva) Eden, both of Valleyford; and a brother, Isaac, of Lind.

Funeral services at the Menno Mennonite church near Lind, Washington on November 12 were in charge of Rev. Willard Wiebe. Interment at the church cemetery.
