FATHER OF TWO CHILDREN DROWNS WHILE SWIMMING NEAR NEEDLES, CALIF.

Hillsboro, Kansas. — Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Enns of this place received word on September 1 of the accidental death by drowning of their son, William Enns, 29, at Needles, Calif. The body was returned here and funeral services took place at the M. B. church on Friday, September 6.

Mr. Enns is survived by his wife, the former Hilma Base, and two children, aged 5 and 3 years. The family had resided at Needles for the past four years, where Mr. Enns was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad. They formerly lived at Lehigh.

The parents had planned to leave for California to visit their son on Wednesday of the previous week.
