CORNELIUS B. ENNS

Cornelius B. Enns was born June 21, 1886 in Michaelsburg, Russia to Bernhard and Justina (nee Brandt) Enns, and passed away in Winkler, Manitoba on September 16.

With his family he moved to Winkler, Manitoba in 1903. Realizing his lost condition, he received forgiveness of his sins through faith in Jesus Christ, was baptized at Burwalde, Manitoba on September 17, 1905 by Elder David Dyck, and joined the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church.

On February 17, 1908 he married Anna Dyck in Kronsgart, Manitoba, who predeceased him in 1966 after 58 years of marriage. Mr. Enns' life was spent in farming, and he always maintained a great interest in the work of the church and missions. He served as a Sunday school superintendent in the Kronsgart (Manitoba) Mennonite Brethren Church and as leader of the Jugendverein. In 1967, after the death of his first wife, he married Agatha Giesbrecht of Yarrow, B.C.

He lived a long, happy and useful life. The family pays tribute to him as a loving and self¡sacrificing husband and father, resting assured that he is now in the presence of the Lord in whom he trusted. A funeral service was held in the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church.

Left to mourn are his wife, Agatha; a son, Ben; four daughters, Mrs. Jacob (Annie) Quiring, Mrs. Peter (Justina) Wiebe, Mrs. Bill (Agatha) Buller, and Mrs. Paul (Doreen) Godin, one brother, three sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
