ANNA ENNS

Anna Enns was born July 18, 1896 in Margenau, Russia. With her parents, Henry and Katharina Wiebe, she moved to Siberia in 1907, returning to Putschkowa, near the village of Margenau, in 1915.

She accepted Christ at the age of 17 and was baptized and received into the Margenau Mennonite Brethren Church June 24, 1918. On March 7, 1918 she married Henry H. Enns. They lived in Russia until 1926 when the Lord made it possible for them to come to Canada, where after several years they settled on a farm at Elm Creek, Man.

During the years on the farm the Lord blessed them richly. Her concern was that all her children be brought close to the love of God, and she was to her husband a true source of strength in the Lord's service in the church.

They retired to North Kildonan, Man. in 1962 and in 1968 moved to Clearbrook, B.C. where they enjoyed the fellowship in the Clearbrook MB Church.

On February 22 the Lord called her into his presence. She was predeceased by her parents, six brothers, four sisters, an infant son and three grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters: Mrs. Nick (Katie) Wiebe, Clearbrook, Anne, New Westminster, B.C., Mary, Edmonton; five sons: Henry, Elm Creek, John, Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., Jake, Winnipeg, Abe, Lynn Lake, Man., David, Winnipeg; one brother and one sister; 19 grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

The funeral was held February 26 in the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church, with pastor Rev. H. Lenzmann and Rev. Frank Friesen of Morden, Man. officiating.
