ANNA ENNS (NEE ANNA DYCK)

Funeral services for the late Mrs. C. B. Enns were held in the Mennonite Brethren Church in Winkler, on December 18, 1966. Rev. Lenzmann and Rev. G. D. Pries officiated. Songs were sung by a group of friends and soloist was Mrs. J. M. Peters.

Mrs. Enns was born in Blumstein district, April 2, 1886. Saved at an early age, she was baptized and joined the MB church in 1901. Married to Mr. C. B. Enns on February 16, 1908, lived for a time at Herbert, Sask., but returned to Manitoba in 1910 to farm at Schoenfeld and later Kronsgart. Moved to Winkler in 1938. She loved the Word of God, prayed much for missions, family and her fellowmen, and loved singing. She suffered a stroke on November 13. After an initial recovery she suffered several more strokes until the Lord called her to himself on December 14, at the age of 80 years.

Left to mourn are her husband, one son, Bernard of Kronsgart, Manitoba, two daughters, Mrs. J. H. Quiring (Anne) of British Columbia, and Mrs. Peter Wiebe (Justina) of Winkler; two adopted daughters, Mrs. William Buller (Agatha), and Mrs. Bill Steele (Doreen), one daughter-in-law, four sons-in-law, 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her diligence, loving concern for others and her friendly smile will be sorely missed and long remembered by all who knew her.
