MRS. AGNES ENNS

(Mrs.) Agnes Enns of Clearbrook, B.C. went to be with her Lord on January 14. She was born to Julius and Ann Klassen on August 2,1896 in Burwalde, southern Russia During her happy childhood years she attended the village school and came to a living faith in Jesus Christ, through Eph. 2:8: "For by grace you have been saved by faith... On 1917 she was baptized and received in the Einlage Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1918 she married KorneHus Grunau, but her husband died of typhoid less than two years later. She married Jacob Enns on August 1, 1923. The Ennses, with a young daughter left Russia in November 1926 and arrived safely in Herbert, Sask. a month later. They stayed at the Herbert immigrant guesthouse until spring, when they settled on a farm in Cabri, Sask. After 18 years they moved to Greendale, B.C. and bought a farm there. For twenty years they worked the farm and participated in the Greendale Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1964 they retired to Clearbrook and joined the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church. Mrs. Enns enjoyed fellowshipping with the ladies of the Ebenezer Ladies' Circle. As mother and grandmother she received strong support from her family . She became ill in 1971.

She is survived by her husband Jake; by four children, Mary and Abe Doerksen of Clearbrook, Jake and Katie Enns of Burnaby B.C., Henry and Katie Enns of Vancouver and John, at home; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother and three sisters, Henry and Anna Klassen and Greta and Peter Janzen of Vancouver, and Katharina Kasdorf and Maria Klassen of Germany and many other relatives and friends.
