Funeral For 83 Year Old Minister at Wauneta, Nebraska

WAS ORDAINED TO MINISTRY IN ILLINOIS CENTRAL CONFERENCE

Wauneta, Nebr. — Funeral services were held here Thursday, Aug. 3, for the 83 year old Rev. William Egle, for years Midwest district superintendent of the Missionary Church Association.

Rev. Egle died at the home of a daughter at Stratton, Nebr.

The call into the ministry came to Rev. Egle when he was a young man of 23 and a member of the Illinois Central Conference. He also preached for the Stucky and Defenseless Mennonites for several years until he affiliated with the Missionary Church Association.

He was widely known as one of the founders of the Ft. Wayne Bible Institute and for his writings in the "Botschafter des Heils in Christo," of which he was the first editor.

Rev. Egle was born near Stuttgart, Germany, in 1860.
