Wife of Prairie View Administrator Dies

Mrs. Mildred L. Ediger, 57, wife of Elmer M. Ediger, administrator of Prairie View Mental Health Center, died early Tuesday at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after a long illness.

A native of the Buhler community, she married Elmer Ediger in 1943 at Buhler, and they had resided at North Newton since 1951. She was a member of the Bethel College Church and the Prairie View Study Club.

Surviving in addition to Mr. Ediger are a son, Mark, of the home, and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Burdett of Mulvane and Mrs. Ronald D. Peters of Wichita; her mother, Mrs. Katherine Gerbrand of Buhler; one sister, Mrs. Melvin R. Siemens of Leoti; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service for family members and close friends will be held Thursday afternoon at Greenwood Cemetery. a memorial service is planned for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bethel College Church. Rev. John Esau and Rev. Robert Carlson will officiate.
