Frieda Eck.

Frieda Eck, daughter of Joseph Ecks, of Meno, Okla., was born Sept. 27, 1918 and died May 3, 1933, at the age of 14 years, 7 months and 6 days. She leaves to mourn, her father and mother, 6 sisters, 1 brother, grandparents, several uncles, aunts, cousins, and many other relatives and friends. In the home she was a loving child, always ready to help. She graduated from the 8th grade in the spring of 1932. In her Sunday school and catechism class she was always present, unless sickness would prevent. She became sick March 26 and during her sickness she received peace with God. She was happy to have us sing and read God’s Word and pray with her. Her last words were: “Uncle Dan carry me down.” She had a longing to go home to be with Jesus. Blessed are the death that die in the Lord.

The funeral services were led by the pastor of the church, Rev. H. U. Schmidt, on Sunday, May 7. Rev. H. T. Neufeld gave a short talk at the home and made the introduction at the church while Rev. Theo. Epp and Rev. H. U. Schmidt each preached short funeral sermons.
