SIMON B. EBERSOLE

Simon Benjamin Ebersole, son of Benjamin and Susan Ebersole, was born near Sterling, Ill., Jan. 5, 1872. As a young lad he moved with his parents from Illinois to Adams County, Neb. where he resided the greater part of his life, except for some years in Missouri and Kansas.

On Oct. 18, 1889, he was united in marriage to Catherine M. Lapp, who preceded him in death Oct. 18, 1946. To this union were born six sons and two daughters.

In young manhood he accepted Christ as his Saviour and united with the Mennonite Church. He remained faithful to the end of his life.

He failed in health the last year of his life, passing away at Lincoln, Nebr. hospital Sept. 28, 1956, aged 84 years, eight months and 23 days.

Surviving are six sons, Albert of Whittier, Calif., Sam of Hastings, Neb., David of Ayr, Neb., George of Pauline, Neb., John of Spencer, Iowa, and LaVern of Manhattan, Iowa; two daughters, Edith, Mrs. J. Worling Bereman, of Climax Springs, Mo. and Mary of Ayr, Neb.; five grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Roseland, Neb. Mennonite Church in charge of Alvin Gascho of Wood River, Neb. and Alton B. Miller of Roseland. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
