NOAH E. EBERSOLE

Noah E. Ebersole, son of Jacob R. and Sarah (Ebersole) Ebersole, was born Sept. 30, 1875, at Sterling, Ill., passed away at his home near Birch Tree, Mo. June 19, 1952, age 76 years, three months, 11 days. For some time he had been suffering from heart trouble and dropsy.

At the age of three years he with his parents moved to Roseland, Nebr. where he grew to manhood. In his youth he accepted Christ and united with the Mennonite church, and was faithful to Christ through life.

He was ordained to the ministry March 31, 1901, by Bishop Albrecht Schiffler. He served in this calling faithfully and joyfully as long as health permitted.

On Oct. 22, 1902, he was united in marriage to Mary Schweitzer. To this union were born three sons.

Preceding him in death were his companion, one son Melvin, his parents, one brother Harvey, one sister Malinda Carper.

Surviving are two sons Samuel and Arthur of Birch Tree, Mo.; three brothers, Edwin, Goshen, Ind., Rueben, Buhl, Idaho, Roy of Hesston, Kansas.; one sister Anna, La Junta, Colo.; three grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

He often expressed his anticipation of departing this world to live with Christ, which he is now enjoying.

Funeral services were held at the Berea Mennonite Church, June 21, in charge of Oney Hathaway, W. R. Hershberger and Frank Horst. Burial was made in the church cemetery beside his companion.
