— A tragic accident near New Holland, Pa. last month claimed the life of nine-year-old Doris Mary Eberly, daughter of Melvin N. Eberlys. She was playing under a cherry tree with some goslings recently purchased by her father, and her brother Clair, 20, was picking cherries from a stepladder placed on a truck bed. The young man got down to move the truck and did not notice his sister, the truck wheel passing over her head. The little girl was a Sunday school pupil at the Groffdale Mennonite Church.
