YOUNG MAN DROWNS IN RIVER NEAR OAKLAND, OREGON
Oakland, Oregon. — Milo Eash 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eash, drowned in the Colapooia [sic Calapooia] river near here on Feb. 7, and the body had not been recovered a week later.
Mr. Eash took a passenger across the swift flowing river in a row boat, and then planned to return to another landing further downstream because of the strong current. However, he did not complete the return trip, and pieces of the boat were found later.
