Retired Farmer Of Wellman Died

Wellmand [sic Wellman], Iowa. — Funeral services were held at the West Union Mennonite church on Jan. 25 or Andrew S. Eash, 84, well known retired farmer of the Wellman community. Max Yoder and John Y. Swartzendruber officiated.

Mr. Eash came to this vicinity as a young man from Topeka, Ind., where he was born to Sam H. and Sarah Eash on July 3, 1870. He and his wife, the former Anna Birkey, passed their 56th wedding anniversary on Jan. 6.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. George Bender, two grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

AGED RESIDENT OF WELLMAN DIED

Wellman, Iowa. — Funeral services for Andrew S. Eash, 84 years of age and a resident of this community since his youth, were held at the West Union Mennonite church here. Relatives from north Indiana and Dalton, Ohio attended.

Bro. Eash, a retired farmer, was the first Sunday school superintendent of the West Union church. He leaves his wife, the former Anna Birkey, and one daughter, Mrs. George Bender.
