FATHER OF TWO IS FATALLY INJURED WHILE WORKING ALONG HIGHWAY

Morden, Man. — Tony Dyck, 30, son of Mr. and Mrs. John. U. Dyck, was instantly killed on Highway No. 3, about four miles south of Jorden, on Tuesday, August 23.

Dyck was employed by the Manitoba Department of Public Works and was cutting weeds along the road with a Fordson tractor, when a truck owned by Dyck’s Transfer of Winkler going in the same direction as the tractor, suddenly swerved, crashed into the tractor and demolished it, killing Dyck instantly.

The deceased resided in Morden. He is survived by his wife and two children, aged two and four. Funeral services, were held on Sunday, August 29, and burial was made in the Mennonite cemetery.
