text of obituary:

Mrs. Peter Dyck

Wolf Point, Mon., Jan. 3. — It was known throughout the community that Mrs. Dyck was ailing, and that her heart was not always functioning properly, yet it was a surprise when on Oct. 9 last, it was heard that she had a stroke that was more than usual, and which finally settled in her right leg. It was soon noticed that the blood was not circulating in her right foot, this with other complications made the pain almost unbearable. Improvement was slow, and finally on Dec. 26 it was decided to have the foot amputated, so she was taken to Wolf Point to the hospital, where the operation was preformed [sic] on the 27th. She stood the operation as well as could be expected, but it was noticed that her strength was fast leaving her. She passed into the great beyond on the 1st of January at 4 p.m. having reached the age of 44 years, 3 months and 11 days.

Funeral services were held in the Bruderthaler Church near Lustre on the 5th of January, the Reverends Thiessen, Dick and Wall officiating. The Grandview Sunday School choir rendered three songs and the Bruderthaler choir sang one song. Interment was made at the Bruderthaler Cemetery, after which a lunch was served in the basement of the church.

Mrs. Dyck leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and four sons. Also a host of friends. — Wolf Point Herald.
