— Walter Dyck, student at Bethel College, was recently called home to Winkler, Manitoba due to the death of his mother, Mrs. Isaac P. Dyck, who passed away following surgery at the Winkler hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 15 at the Bergthaler church there.

ONLY MEMBER OF FAMILY TO LEAVE RUSSIA DIES AT WINKLER, MANITOBA

Winkler, Man. — Funeral serv- [sic] for Mrs. Isaac Dyck were held in the Bergthaler church here Monday, Nov. 15, with Bishop J. M. Pawls, assisted by Rev. George Brown and Rev. J. J. Siemens, in charge.

Mrs. Dyck, nee Mary Penner, was born in Russia 64 years ago and came to Canada with her husband in 1924, being the only one of her own family to get out of Russia. She had had no knowledge of the others in her family either except that recently she learned of her father's death in 1951.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband; three sons, Isaac at Winkler, John at the University of Manitoba, Walter of Bethel College, Newton, Kansas, and five daughters, Hilda, Mary, and Helen at home, Katie (Mrs. Rudy Janzen) of Winkler, and Annie of London, England.
