FRANK DYCK

Frank Dyck was born in Hiershau, South Russia on June 27, 1903. In 1921 he accepted Christ as his personal saviour, followed the Lord in baptism and became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

He came to Canada in January, 1927, and took up residence, first at Waldheim, then at Davidson, Saskatchewan. A year later he moved to Pincher Creek, Alta. In 1933 he was united in marriage to Mary Willms to which union one daughter and five sons were born. Two sons predeceased their father.

In 1941 the Dycks moved to Coaldale where they lived until the Lord called the father home. He was 62 years at the time of his death on October 16.

The funeral service was held October 21 in the Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church with the brethren H. P. Nikkel and D. J. Pankratz ministering. The former stressed that the Christian's death is not his finale while the latter underscored the importance of making the right choices in life. At the graveside Rev. J. J. Siemens spoke a few words. The Bread of Life radio choir sang.

Surviving Frank Dyck are his wife, Mary; a daughter Helen; three sons, Henry, Peter and Walter; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis; and two grandchildren. He also leaves his aged mother, five sisters and four brothers.
