YOUTH ACCIDENTALLY SHOT BY BROTHER CLEANING RIFLE
Winkler, Manitoba. — David Dyck, 11-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac G. Dyck, was fatally shot Feb. 12 when a .22 calibre rifle in the hands of his brother Abe, 20, was accidentally discharged. The older brother was preparing to clean the gun when the cocking mechanism failed to hold.
Funeral services were held Feb. 15 in the Chortitz church with Rev. Jacob Unrau of Rosenfeld officiating.
