News of General Interest

. . .

— It was a large funeral that was held Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Mennonite brethren church in Corn, Okla., for Curt Dyck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Dyck, whose very unexpected death occurred in Colorado Springs, Colo., Friday morning, Sept. 4. Curt who was 30 years of age, was one of the group from Corn called into the civilian public service camp at Colorado Springs, where he served faithfully until his untimely death. A brain tumor was the cause of his fatal illness. His parents, on the way to visit him, were deeply shocked to receive word of his death after their arrival at camp.
