ANNA DYCK

Anna A. Dyck, daughter of Henry Dyck and Elizabeth Auernheimer Dyck, was born march 6, 1863, in Franklin, Lee County, Iowa. She was baptized by the Rev. John S. Hirschler upon the confession of her faith in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, on April 19, 1878, at Franklin, Iowa.

In her youth she spent a number of years in the mission at Cantonment, at that time Indian Territory. After leaving the mission field she made her home in Moundridge, Kansas. She transferred her membership to the West Zion Church of which she remained a member until her death.

In the spring of 1936 she entered the Bethesda Home for the Aged at Goessel, Kansas, and resided there until April6 of this year when she was obliged to enter the Bethesda Hospital. From this time on her health failed until on the morning of May 29, she quietly departed this life. She attained the age of 80 years, 2 months and 23 days.

She leaves to mourn one brother, William Dyck of Reedley, California; one sister, mrs. E. B. Schmidt of this Moundridge; 17 nieces and 5 nephews, and a host of friends..
