11-Year-Old Boy Struck By Car

Belleville, Penn. — John Harry Dumm, 11-year-old son of Mrs. Mary H. Dumm, was instantly killed near his home the evening of April 4 when he darted across Highway 76 into the path of a car.

Funeral services were held at the home on April 7, with Rev. Aaron Mast and Rev. Jacob Weirich of the Maple Grove Mennonite church in charge.

The youth was the only child of Mrs. Dumm and the late Harry Dumm, who died unexpectedly about a year ago. He was also the only grandchild of Mrs. Fannie X. Hartzler.
