● Word was received here that Arnold J. Duerksen, 70, of Plainview, Tex. and formerly of Goessel, died Jan. 29 at Lubbock, Tex. after a short illness. Funeral services took place at Plainview on Jan. 31. Surviving in the immediate family are his widow, the former Elsie Stenzel, one son, two daughters and seven grandchildren. Mr. Duerksen was a brother of Elmer B. Duerksen of Hillsboro, Mrs. Rosa Voth of Halstead, Mrs. Margaret Klassen of Kinsley, and Mrs. Rubena Trupp of Newton. He was a member of the Alexanderwohl Church, Goessel.
