TWO-YEAR-OLD CHILD DIES AFTER EATING POISONED BREAD

Goshen, Ind. — Two-year-old Jean Elaine Dills of the East Goshen community died at Goshen Hospital on May 6 after eating poisoned bread used to kill rats at her house.

The little girl found and ate the bread unknown to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dills. When she became seriously ill they rushed her to the hospital where she died a short time later.

Funeral services were conducted at a funeral home here by Rev. Ray Keim, pastor of the East Goshen Mennonite church. surviving in addition to the parents are a three-year-old brother and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clare Dills and Dan Slabaugh.
