. . .

— One-year-old Nanette Diener, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Truman Diener, of Hillsboro, died unexpectedly May 29 in Arizona where the Dieners had gone to engage in summer Voluntary Service work on the General Conference Indian mission field. The little girl passed away on her first birthday, the day after the family's arrival in Arizona. She had been in frail health all her life but had not been ill. The body was returned to Newton, and private funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Draper's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Arnold Epp officiating. Graveside services were held Monday at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. H. A. Diener of Hutchinson, father of Mr. Diener, in charge. Survivors in addition to the parents are a brother Timothy, 5, and the grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Diener and Mr. and Mrs. David D. Wiebe of Newton.
