ERMA MAE DIENER

Erma Mae Diener, 71, of Yoder, Kan., died Feb. 8, 1997, at her home. She was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Reno County, the daughter of Noah E. and Edna Shrock Miller. A lifetime Yoder resident, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of Yoder Mennonite Church, held several offices in her church WMSC for many years, was a librarian and member of other committees at the church, was a volunteer at Mennonite Friendship Manor, a member of Mennonite Central Commitee and women's Bible study and helped at the Et Cetera Shop.

On Feb. 17, 1948, she married Willard Diener at Yoder. He died Aug. 28, 1989.

Survivors include four sons, Weldon of Hutchinson, Ron and Terry, both of Goshen, Ind., and Marvin of Salina; a daughter, Marlene Boese of Hesston; a brother, Freddie Miller of Haven; a sister, Cleo Yoder of Hesston; and 12 grandchildren. she was preceded in death by a sister, Susie Miller.

The memorial service was held at Yoder Mennonite Church. Burial was in the Yoder Mennonite Church Cemetery.
