MRS. LEVINA DIEFFENBACH

Levina Schantz Dieffenbach, daughter of Christina and Fanny Schantz, was born May 19, 1889, in Bureau county, Ill.

She was united in marriage on Feburary 19, 1920, with Elmer Dieffenbach of Pulaski, Iowa, at which place they lived on a farm for 10 years. Since then they have been making their home on a farm south of Tiskilwa.

For a number of years she has with love and devotion tenderly taken care of her mother, who is an invalid.

Mrs. Dieffenbach passed away on December 22, at the Princeton, Illinois, hospital after a brief stay of three days, suffering from cancer. She had been taking care of her invalid mother until only a few days prior to going to the hospital and her sudden death came as a shock to the community.

She reached the age of 56 years and seven months.

She leaves a sorrowing husband, her mother, a brother, Walter Schantz of Ada, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Schryer of Lima, Ohio, and other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held on December 24, at the Tiskilwa Mennonite church with her pastor, Rev. L. R. Amstutz in charge, at which place she was a faithful member. Interment was made at Mt. bloom cemetery.
