— Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Helena Dick wife of Herbert Dick, who died at the home in Hutchinson Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. She was a member of the Buhler Mennonite church. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, two sons, four grandchildren, one brother and four sisters.

LENA DICK
Lena was born near Buhler, Kansas, October 12, 1889 and departed this life at Hutchinson, Kansas, January 27, 1953 at the age of 53 years, four months and 15 days.
Early in life she moved with her parents to Escondido, Calif, where she also attended grade school. In later years she moved with her parents to Buhler, Kansas, where she attended Buhler high school, and graduated from the same school in 1920.
On September 17, 1922, she was united in marriage to Herbert Dick. Two sons and one daughter were born to this union. She joined the First Mennonite church of Buhler in 1920, of which she remained a member. Her life was characterized by deep devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to live for him.
About two years ago the departed noticed that her health was beginning to fail. She sought medical care from doctors, hoping to regain her health, but it was ordained otherwise in the providence of God. Her illness was a lingering one but she was resigned and bore what the Lord had laid upon her cheerfully and with fortitude. The last two weeks her health failed rapidly and her longing to be with the Lord grew stronger.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and two sons, Herbert of Monrovia, Calif, and Eugene of the home; one daughter, Irene of San Bernardino, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. H. B. Johnson, Escondido, Calif., Mrs. Nic Newfeld, Newport Beach, Calif., Mrs. John Sawatsky, Buhler, and Mrs. John Reimer, Stafford, Kansas; one brother, Abraham of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; four grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
