text of obituary:

MRS. JOHN DICK

Katherine (Tina) Dick was born on the Hochfeld Estate, Ekaterinoslav, South Russia, the daughter of a well known minister, Peter Unruh, in 1886. She received her early education at home and at the Girl's School at Halbstadt. During her childhood she often required the attention of doctors because her health was so poor. She was only a young girl when she accepted Christ as her Saviour and became a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church.

In 1912 she was married to John Dick and together with him emigrated to Canada where they settled in Ontario. God gave them one child, a daughter Mary. They lived at Kitchener, Ruthven and Vineland, eventually settling at Virgil where they lived until the present. Her husband was for a number of years the leader of the Virgil Church. Together they were able to celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1962 in the presence of many friends.

Mrs. Dick died October 20 after a lengthy period of intermittent illness. She attained an age of 79 years. The funeral was observed in the Virgil Church with the brethren John G. Baerg and Isaak Tiessen ministering. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Jake Kaethler), and her husband at Virgil; as well as seven sisters and a brother in Kitchener.
