FRED DETWILER

Fred Detwiler, 93, of Pocomoke City, Md., died at his home of cancer June 28, 1993. Born in Gunn city, Mo., he was a son of the late Menno B. Detwiler and Sadie Sharpe Detwiler. his wife, Amelia R., died April 21, 1992.

Detwiler was a retired farmer and served on the Farmers Home Administration Board. He was a member of Holly Grove Mennonite Church in Westover, Hampshire Swine Breeders Association and the Delmarva Pork Producers Association.

He is survived by three children, Doris E. Henderson of Albion, Okla., Marvin J. Detwiler of Pocomoke City, and Betty D. Sommer of Bluffton, Ohio; three sisters, Genevieve King of Westover, Stella Ross of Harleysville, Pa., and Dona Belle Kaufman of Faiview, Mich.; three brothers, Vernon Detwiler of Westover, Lester Detwiler of Goshen, Ind., and Kenneth Detwiler of Pocomoke City; and five grandchildren.

Services were held at holly Grove Mennonite Church in Westover, with Jack Scandrett officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
