BARBARA THUT DETWILER

Barbara Thut Detwiler of New Britain, Pa., died Feb. 26 at the Doylestown Hospital. She was 75.

Born in Cheraw, Colo., she was the daughter of Timothy and Sarah Kulp Thut, and the wife of Paul N. Detwiler, who survives.

A retired teacher, she graduated from Millersville State College in 1928 and Goshen College in 1932.

She was a member of the Deep Run West Mennonite Church, and was active in many areas of local church and General Conference work. She taught Sunday school classes until her health did not permit her to do so. She was a deaconess and active in the Women's Missionary Society. She was much interested in the mission activity of the conference and visited with her husband (a former COM member), the missions in Mexico and Zaire.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Terry L., of Rutland, Vt.; and two grandsons.
