FRANK F. DEFEHR

Frank F. Defehr, Herbert. Sask. passed away on March 14 in the Saskatchewan Hospital at Weyburn. The funeral was held on March 17 at the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church with Herman Voth in charge.

Mr. Defehr was born at Rosenfeld, Manitoba on May 18, 1889. In 1907 he moved with his parents to Herbert. The following year on December 13, 1908 he was married to Lena Wiebe and together they took up a homestead at Main Centre. They moved to Herbert again in 1944 where he was engaged in carpentry work for many years. He was always a willing worker and shared gladly with others.

He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife; two daughters, Mrs. Nick (Selma) Janz, Mrs. Jake (Linda) Goertzen, both of Herbert; two sons, Frank and Edward. both of Abbotsford, B .C.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two brothers and five sisters .
